John’s musical theatre compositions include for All 4 One (www.all4onethemusical.com) (Josef Weinberger Ltd) with Kevin Heuston, The Hunchback Of Notre Dame (www.thehunchbackofnotredame.co.uk) (Samuel French Ltd) with Gary Sullivan, Peter Pan (non-Panto) and a new full score for David Wood’s adaptation of Roald Dahl’s
James And The Giant Peach (www.jamesandthegiantpeach.co.uk), with many musical arrangements for other David Wood plays, choral compositions and arrangements, and
music for a BT Global Marketing campaign to his credit.
In addition to The Great Sleigh Robbery John is developing a number of projects with Simon James Green and Green Lady with Susan Pleat.

He studied piano, violin and singing under scholarship and as a boy treble, he sang for four seasons at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. He also toured Europe with The English Music Theatre Company, a sister company of The Royal Opera House, performing in Britten’s Three Church Operas under the musical directorship of David Bedford. ITV’s South Bank Show filmed a production at Britten’s local church at Orford for use in a documentary about Britten’s life.
His musical activities are varied and include leading Brentwood Borough Council’s Music Bus which develops children through music and recording workshops, Resident Musical Director of Brentwood Theatre and Music Director of The South Woodham Ferrers Male Voice Choir.
He is also an active Musical Director for many musicals and shows including Les Miserables and We Will Rock You.
John is also a much sought after Sound and Recording Engineer as he specialises in choral, musical theatre, and other forms of classical and related music. He was awarded the prize
for BEST SOUND for his sound design and live mixing of We Will Rock You at the 2007 Waterford International Festival of Light Opera.

As a Business Consultant he works for a wide variety of entities, including London Remade, Layton Blackham and Market Maker providing either advice and/or direct practical resources to sustain and grow these clients businesses. Many of these key skills have been adapted for the Performing Arts and its aspiring Professionals.
